Genesee Estates

The earliest deed to this property dates back to 1912 when Lucian Ralston purchased a 120 acre parcel from the Union Pacific Railroad.  The original120 acre parcel included this 25 acre parcel of land now known as “Genesee Estates” and is located in the Genesee Ridge Subdivision.

The Property was used by the United States Air Force in the 1950s as a radar testing facility and has been referred to as “The Air Force Property” ever since.

The Air Force Property was annexed into the township of Genesee in 1976 as part of the original Genesee Development Plan and zoned for single family residential development ,  In 1997, Quebec Village Associates purchased the property from Fidelity Mutual Life Insurance Company and continues to own the property today.

Since the time of its purchase, the owners have considered a multitude of site plans and lot counts.  Taking a patient and mindful approach to create a neighborhood that compliments the beauty of its surroundings, the owners have chosen to divide the property into eight lots.  The final plan is a result of extensive studies commissioned to learn how the site could and should be developed.  A great amount of time has been spent with experienced engineers, the County government , Water District, Denver City Parks and The Fire District to achieve this plan.

With challenging grades and rugged terrain, the building envelopes have been meticulously sited toward the upper portion of each lot, allowing the best access yet providing room to breathe between mountain neighbors.
